The benefits of having a second bowl, blade and lid set

You’ve already experienced the time and money-saving benefits of cooking with Thermomix – now imagine what you can do with a second bowl, blade, and lid set!

It was my daughter’s birthday last month and of course, I had to bake her a cake. Her favourite is my vanilla cake with buttercream icing. Whilst I have a well-stocked larder, it’s not that well stocked when she says she wants to take a second cake back to school. I needed more icing sugar and having a second bowl handy to make a new batch of icing sugar from granulated is always helpful.

Since I do a lot of baking, I love having two bowls for suddenly having to mill that sugar or almonds, or even when I suddenly need ground cinnamon and only have cinnamon sticks. Two bowls are ever so handy and probably, in my opinion, the best accessory to have with a Thermomix.

Top 5 reasons for having a second bowl, blade, and lid set.

Make ingredients from scratch – mill almond meal, icing sugar, or grated Parmesan cheese without stopping the flow of your recipe. Save time when you need to mill sugar, spices, or grains or grate cheese mid recipe.
A sparkling clean bowl is a secret to fluffy whipped egg whites and meringue. Use your second bowl to whip your egg whites, and keep your first to continue on with the rest of the recipe. Two of our favourites are the Chiffon Cake and Chocolate Mousse.
Simply being able to swap bowls to reduce cleaning or save time when waiting for ingredients to cool or rest
If you’re catering for special dietary requirements, you may like to allocate one bowl for those recipes to avoid cross-contamination.
Keep one bowl for sweet dishes and one for savoury meals like curries, especially handy if you don’t want your lid stained with turmeric for those who use it.

You can purchase your second through me as an Advisor, at any point. They are priced at £169 and it’s money spent well. It is delivered by DPD courier, which is fully tracked and traced and with free shipping.

What’s in the second bowl, blade, and lid set box?

Stainless steel bowl with handle
Bowl base
Mixing knife
Lid with a seal
Newly improved measuring cup
Simmering basket

For anyone reading this in November 2021, there is discounted price when you purchase it as part of Vorwerk’s Black Friday sale. You can purchase a TM6 Accessory set which includes. second bowl, blade, and lid set (mixing bowl complete) PLUS a Thermomix Spatula and a Blade Cover for £140. This would normally be priced at £200, so you are receiving a 30% discount and saving £60.

For those with a TM5, you can also purchase a TM5 Accessory set which is the same except with a TM5 bowl.

Christmas Gift Ideas: Thermomix Friend

Leave a Comment / Blog

Thinking of buying a Christmas gift for someone who has everything, including a Thermomix, then let me introduce you to the Thermomix Friend.

When paired with your Thermomix TM6 or Thermomix TM5, the Thermomix Friend helps you simultaneously prepare multiple courses or even split a recipe into two to cater to varying tastes or dietary requirements. Think of curry in your Thermomix and rice in your Thermomix Friend, or splitting a sauce recipe to make Puttanesca Sauce in one and Tomato sauce in the other.

The Thermomix Friend is connected via Bluetooth to your Thermomix and the on-screen instructions tell you exactly when to transfer bowls of ingredients from one device to the other. The result is everything is prepared on time and cooked to perfection.

It isn’t a Thermomix replacement. The Thermomix Friend can be used alongside the Thermomix TM5 and Thermomix TM6 using blue-tooth and guided cooking, but it does not replace a Thermomix. But if you have a Thermomix TM5 or Thermomix TM6 and need more capacity, then I think it’s great.

Many clients ask me what accessories they can buy once they are in love with their Thermomixes, and this one is a nice-add on. It’s a nice-to-have, rather than a must-have. However, at the price points, especially if you have a second bowl, the Thermomix Solo is an ideal gift under the tree.

The beauty of our new Hitachi finance, that you can also finance this Thermomix Friend Solo purchase on finance and spread the payments over 12, 24, and 36 months. Give me a call at 07977 563537 or send me an email and I’ll help you

If it’s one payment, then you can purchase using this link below. Please do add my name as the Advisor name in the box >>> you basically start typing ANK and it should come up. This will link you to me as a customer so I can up and then I can follow up with you. As soon as your order is complete, I get a copy invoice so I know it’s gone through and then will send a follow-up email on how to set it up, etc.

Thermomix Solo £360 – base
Thermomix Friend Complete £529 – base and the second bowl

Thermomix Blade Cover and Peeler

Leave a Comment / Blog

Just when you thought owning a Thermomix couldn’t get any better, Vorwerk has done it again. Introducing the newest Thermomix accessory – the blade cover and peeler.

The Blade Cover & Peeler is the 2-in-1 accessory for the Thermomix® TM6® and TM5 that will take your cooking to the next level. Clean, scrub and peel vegetables without the mess or fuss at the touch of a button.

See a video of Thermomix Blade Cover Peeler in action

The new generation Blade Cover and Peeler not only protects the food during slow cooking and sous-vide cooking but now effortlessly scrubs and peels your potatoes. Why peel potatoes when you don’t have to? With the new Blade Cover & Peeler, your Thermomix TM5 or TM6 will effortlessly peel your potatoes and root veg for you.

Peeling Vegetables

The Blade Cover & Peeler is placed over the blade. To do this, hold it by the central plastic insert and make sure the shaft with the peeler is correctly positioned. Ensure the upward curved parts are on top of the higher positioned blades then press peeler down to secure it to the mixing knife. Place the vegetables in the mixing bowl (max. 800 g). For best results, use vegetables of the same size.
Add 600 g water, regardless of the number of vegetables used, and add 1 tsp oil (optional) to reduce frothing.
When using your Thermomix TM6, secure the lid and measuring cup then start Peeler mode.
With the Thermomix TM5, place the simmering basket on the mixing bowl lid instead of the measuring cup and peel your vegetables 4 minutes/speed 4.
Once the mode has finished, drain the peeled vegetables (retain the nutrient-rich water to water your plants) and continue preparing your recipe.

Sous-vide cooking and slow cooking

The blade cover peeler is the perfect accessory to make-ahead meals. These melt-in-the-mouth dishes will wait until your family or guests are ready to eat, without overcooking. The peeler function will help with the preparation, leaving your hands free and clean for other things. Let Thermomix take the effort out of cooking.

You’ll transform cheaper cuts of meat, fish, and poultry into the richest melt-in-the-mouth dishes by cooking them low and slow with the Thermomix Blade Cover attached for slow cooker mode. Just let your new Thermomix slow cooker do its thing while you do yours (work time, family time, or my time). Your food will be kept warm, without over-cooking, until you’re ready to plate up.

Or try out the French sous vide method when you treat yourself to those more expensive, finer cuts of meat and fish. Follow the simple guided cooking steps and we guarantee you’ll get the biggest restaurant-quality bang for your buck with the juiciest, nutrient-rich, and perfectly tender food you’ve ever cooked.

This beef rendang is by far my favourite slow-cooked meal using the blade cover peeler and I highly recommend it.

You can buy the blade peeler cover directly on the Vowerk UK website, here. If you’ve enjoyed this article then please add me as your Advisor, if you don’t have one. Either type my Advisor Number, 800 000 0068 or start typing my name, Ankita Stopa and it’ll come up. I don’t make commissions on accessories, but it’s just nice to be linked so we can stay in touch especially for recipe swaps and recommendations.

Keep cooking up a storm.

Is there a Thermomix Black Friday offer?

Leave a Comment / Blog

Wow, how many times have I been asked if there is a Thermomix Black Friday offer this month. Too many times to mention.

Black Friday is the term for the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, marking the start of the Christmas shopping season. Many employers (in the US) give their employees the day off as part of the Thanksgiving weekend.

Historians believe the name started in Philadelphia in the mid-1960s. Bus drivers and police used ‘Black Friday’ to describe the heavy traffic that would clog the streets the day after Thanksgiving as shoppers headed to the stores that day. The name has stuck ever since.

How did customers in the UK get so wrapped up in an American tradition? A few years ago, I guess. Many countries that support consumerism have jumped on the bandwagon and started Black Friday sales too, currently of the world’s 195 countries an estimated 40-50% ‘celebrate’ Black Friday in some form or the other. In the United Kingdom, we started adopting this 6-7 years ago and I remember the day. I remember how shoppers tuned violent and created stampedes on the news over TVs and sofas.

But with online shopping and a pandemic, shipping delays and petrol shortages, haven’t you realised that there have been offers at all retailers for the whole year? Consumers are waiting for Black Friday weekend offers, but I have seen ‘Early Black Friday’ deals to entice you to spend your Black Friday cash. And where is the Thermomix Black Friday offer, everyone is waiting for?

Vorwerk sells Thermomix via direct sales model, through Advisors. Since COVID we have also started selling online but we do not offer discounts on Thermomix TM6 ever, although occasionally we have head office customer offers. There is one thing I can tell you; we never reduce the price of the Thermomix. We value our product too much to discount it.

TM6 Bundle In November 2020, we did have a Black Friday deal, Vorwerk UK had a bundle of the Thermomix TM6/ Thermomix TM5 for £1599. So our Thermomix TM6 remained at £1149 with the Thermomix TM5 costing £450. The Thermomix TM5 was only sold for a 2-week period and was never available on its own. We only ever sell the latest and current model. I’ll be honest, we had TM5s lying around in the warehouse and we wanted to sell them on and this was a good time to do it. Vorwerk got rid of their stock and many, many customers took advantage of our class digital model at a substantial reduced price. As soon as the Black Friday offer was over, it was over.

But this was last year. Let me repeat this. We had stock of Thermomix TM5s and we needed to get rid of them. The model was already was discontinued and now 18 months old, so this was a way to get rid of stock. It was a fabulous deal for anyone wanting the latest model and a spare, to keep one for yourselves and give them other one to a friend or famuly member. Or even to keep both yourselves, one for your main home and another for your holiday property. There were many reasons why this deal was so great and why we sold so many, it was indeed a superb offer for both the consumer and the company. Customers got an excellent deal and we emptied our warehouses of old stock.

So what’s the deal this year, in 2021? I’ll be honest, I don’t know. The head office has already released November 2021 offers which are Thermomix-Kobold bundles; full details are listed here.

For Black Friday 2021, I can only compare the other offers to Black Friday 2020 as a guide:

Up to 30% off selected accessories, cookbooks and filter bags
10% off Rockstars Stoneware
Exclusive Black Friday Bundles
- Starter Rockstars Bundle, £200 consisting of Paul Pizza Stone and Anna Casserole dish
- Ultimate Rockstars Bundle, £135 consisting of Paul Pizza Stone, Anna Casserole Dish, Ben Flat Baking Tray and Betty Deep Covered Baker, £135
- TM6 Christmas Accessory Set, £200 which included TM5 complete mixing bowl, blade cover, TM6 spatula and a copy of the ‘A Very Thermomix Christmas Cookbook’.
- TM5 Christmas Accessory Set, as above but with the TM5 Complete Mixing Bowl .
- Baking Bundle, £90 to include Sweet Cookbook, Baking Mat, Measuring Spoon and Rockstars Ben Baking Tray
  - And so on
- Free gift with purchase
  - Spend £100/€120 – receive a FREE set of Thermomix Tea Towel
  - Spend £200/ €250 – receive a FREE set of Thermomix Tea Towels and a ‘Live love Cook apron
  - Spend £300/ €375 – receive a FREE set of Thermomix Tea Towels, a ‘Live love Cook apron and a Glass Chopping Board
- NOTE: There is no discount on the Thermomix TM6.

So I hope this helps clarify some of the anxiety I am hearing on the ground, and also the benefit of why buying through an Advisor is so important. We are not just selling you a product, but delivering you a service than can’t be found online. There are too many scammers out there trying to dwindle your hard earned cash with the lure of a discounted Thermomix. Don’t get sucked in.

If you have benefitted from reading this article and would like to be added to my list of contacts when I know about the Thermomix Black Friday offers, then please send me an email on Ankita@onegirlandherthermie.co.uk or text/ Whatsapp 07977 563537, and I will contact you ASAP.

Getting Vorwerk Ready for Christmas

The VC100 is extremely handy for cleaning the kitchen surfaces and cleaning around the cupboards and kitchen drawers with its cordless lightweight design.

But existing customers, we have not forgotten about you. You can still buy the Complete Christmas Cleaning bundle (VB100 and VC100 for £813/€923) or any of the existing range from the website. Make sure you either order via me so I can process your order, or on the eShop and use my Advisor number (8000000068) when placing your order, so you are linked to me.
