Lassi is a popular traditional yogurt-based drink from the Indian Subcontinent. Lassi is a blend of yogurt, water, spices and sometimes fruit. My kids love lassi and its the perfect drink to get some dairy protein and fruit into them. This Thermomix recipe is super easy, and tastes delicious.
- 50g sugar
- 500g strawberries
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- 100g ice cubes
- 250g plain yoghurt
- Place the sugar, strawberries and cardamom in the mixing bowl and mix for 30 seconds on speed 7.
- Add ice and yoghurt, mix for 1 minute on speed 5, and pour into glasses to serve
Hints & Tips:
This recipe works well with any fruit; substitute the strawberries for raspberries or even better for an Indian flavour, ripe mangoes. Depending on the sweetness of the fruit, you can also decrease the amount of sugar.
