Thermomix Friend Easter Bundle

From Monday 3rd to Tuesday 11th April,  the Thermomix Friend Bundle is only £199, saving you £330 and all April sales will be gifted our newest cookbook, Free From worth £39.

For what it’s worth, a second bowl is normally £169. So this month, the Fried just works out at £30 extra.  Both of these items customers eventually buy anyway, so you’re essentially getting the Thermomix Friend for free. So it is worth it, hell yes, it’s (almost) free.

Special offer: Thermomix & Thermomix Friend Bundle

  • Thermomix TM6 £1189
  • Thermomix Friend Bundle £529 now £199
  • Total £1388, Saving £330
  • Only available on orders from Monday 3rd to Tuesday 11th April 2023
  • **All sales in April 2023 also benefit from the Free From Cookbook as a gift
  • The total saving on the bundle is £369, including the cookbook.

In this blog post, I will give you the top 5 benefits of owning a Thermomix Friend and why you would want one in your kitchen.

TOP 5 BENEFITS OF THERMOMIX FRIEND

  1. Thermomix Friend is small, compact; ready for use, or easy to put away.
  2. Thermomix Friend is a complementary accessory to your Thermomix, it can only go up to speed 2 and is always in reverse. It makes it perfect for simmering, sauteing, and stirring.
  3. Thermomix Friend is ideal for time savings and bulk cooking.
  4. Thermomix Friend can be used in conjunction with Thermomix through guided cooking or can be used standalone manually.
  5. Thermomix can be used for parallel cooking – for example – making two sauces for a midweek meal – tomato sauce in one, cheese sauce in the other – ideal for fussy later, those with allergies or simply to create more choice at dinner time.

WHAT THE THERMOMIX FRIEND ISN’T?

  1. It isn’t a Thermomix replacement.  The Thermomix Friend can be used alongside the Thermomix TM5 and Thermomix TM6 using blue-tooth and guided cooking, but it does not replace a Thermomix.
  2. It cannot chop or blend. The Thermomix Friend operates on the reverse and up to speed 2. Therefore, the initial chopping for a recipe, such as a soup or a curry, needs to be done in the Thermomix and then the bowl transferred to your Thermomix Friend to free up your Thermomix to do something else.

So in my opinion, the Thermomix Friend is amazing. Just like any product that Vorwerk brings out, this is game-changing and ahead of the times. It’s the most perfect accessory for our Thermomixes. The price point is approximately half the cost of a Thermomix, so with that, the features and capabilities are also reduced.  But as an accessory, it’s amazing; you will love it as much as you love your Thermomix.

If you would like to see the Thermomix Friend in action, please get in touch using the contact form or my details below.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Who Am I?

You’re here, so I guess it would be rude not to introduce myself. My name is Ankita Stopa and I am passionate about helping people cook more healthy and creative food. Life is busy enough and anything that can help us save time and money is something we all are need in our lives.

I’m from India, which is one of the oldest and richest food cultures in the world. Indian cuisine is well known for being one of the world’s spiciest, influential, diverse and unique. As Indians differ from one another by religion, region, state, language and caste, our cuisine varies so much that we have positioned ourselves as one of world’s most diverse. The beauty of being an Indian living abroad is having both a great appreciation for different Indian cuisines, and a palate that enjoys all gastronomies.

My first Thermomix

Most of the recipes I make in my Thermomix are traditional family recipes handed down through generations. My mother and grandmother were both great cooks, and shared their knowledge with me. I grew up in Saudi Arabia and have travelled all over the world to many European and Asian countries; I worked and lived in Japan and now reside in the London, U.K. with my Polish husband. I have always enjoyed exploring the culture and food in each country. As a lover of food and brought up traditionally Indian, I have always cooked from scratch with delicious results but often time consuming. Before having my children, I enjoyed winding down and taking time to cook after I came home from work. It’s only when I had my daughter that I first heard about Thermomix and realised how easy home cooking could be.

How did I get here?

Good question. Especially considering that I actually started out as Chemical Engineer from UCL who went into product & business development in the chemical & biodegradable field. (You know Ariel Liquid-Tabs or Quantum Finish tablets? Yeah, that’s what I helped develop.)

My Thermomix journey started back in 2009, when my Polish sister-in-law, Emilia, suggested I host a demonstration as I was a busy mum with a 4-month old baby. Emilia was given a Thermomix TM31 as a wedding present, the previous year, and had raved about how she could make soup in 15 minutes, bread in less than 2 minutes, and risotto without the need to be in the kitchen. She was so convincing that I booked a home demonstration. I was blown away by the fruit sorbet demonstration alone, and bought one on the spot.

I started demonstrating as a hobby and extra income purely because of my love and passion for the Thermomix. I loved how cooking was so simple and easy to follow. I started recommending to all my family, friends, and colleagues and quickly found myself demonstrating that year and within a few years working part-time as an Independent Advisor. I still had other business interests (still do) in the packaging industry, marketing and I run a property portfolio too. I currently lecture Chemistry part-time.  But even with all of this on my plate (ask a busy person…), I soon became UK’s number 1 Advisor and also had the most successful team in the UK.

One Girl and her Thermie

In September 2014, I finally decided to rebrand to ‘One Girl and her Thermie’ and start to blog, sharing the love I have for Thermomix and sharing it with everyone. It’s been the most rewarding and fantastic journey. Demonstrating Thermomix has become a passion of mine. I’ve earned new Thermomixes – the newer models Thermomix TM5 and Thermomix TM6, I’ve been on several amazing Advisor incentive trips from Kinsale, Madeira, Lisbon and Budapest. I’ve been awarded accolades such as the first to reach Loyalty programs Level 4, 5 & 6 and been recognised as a Diamond Advisor for 5- years in a row.

I’ve sold over 1500 Thermomixes and have over 1000 delighted customers, and have also introduced over 100 new Advisors to the business.

I’m often asked who my customer avatar is for Thermomix. Europeans? Love cooking? Hate cooking? Indian? Large families? Domestic househodBored of repetitive menus? Single households? Asian? Someone with kids? Time poor? Allergies?

Well, the answer is anyone who eats.

I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

I recently purchased a Thermomix TM6 plus Christmas bundle through Ankita. She was very helpful throughout the sale process but was also quick to highlight that her support post purchase would be there should it be required. If you are interested in getting a Thermomix, i would strongly recommend Ankita as she offers a lot more through her website than just a TM6 sale (i.e. newsletter, recipes etc).

How to purchase a Thermomix®?

Want to purchase a Thermomix®?

If you want to purchase a Thermomix, you’ve come to the right place.

The Thermomix is £1279 and we do not offer discounts. If you have seen it cheaper online, it is a scam. A Thermomix can only be bought via Vorwerk’s Advisor network (me) and I would love to be your Advisor. My authorised Advisor Number is 800 000 0068.

I’ve been an Advisor since 2009 and have helped many, many customers with their Thermomix journey from initial enquiry, and demonstration (now called Cooking Experience) to their purchase and after-sales service. I cover the whole of the UK and Ireland. and since 2020, we offer face-to-face or virtual demonstrations.

To purchase, we have 3 options:

  • Earn and demonstrate
  • One payment
  • Spread payment finance options using Novuna finance for UK residents – credit checks, no deposit required
  • Divided payments – deposit required, no credit check

Novuna Finace is available in 12 ,24, 36, and 48-month payment options. The application is so easy to do, I can send it via email which is what most customers prefer; to do it in the privacy of their homes. It’s a live application and you get a decision immediately.  It’s just then an e-signature and your order is secure.  We can also do a soft search for those needing to check their credit. In addition to that, we also have a 0% finance options for all purchases over £1439 for 12 months.   For those in Ireland or the Channel Islands, we provide divided payment options.

For the divided payment option, this is only available to those I have personally met face-to-face. As no deposit is required, the Thermomix Head Office ask us as the salesforce to verify that we have met the individuals to check their ID and address paperwork. Please do not ask for this option, if we have not previously had a demonstration in person, or if you are not prepared to meet me at a mutually convenient location to verify your paperwork.

Finally, for those who live abroad or for commercial purposes, I can organise a payment and/or proforma invoice. We do not offer BACs anymore. All orders do need to be delivered to a UK address.

There are sometimes customer offers by head office, so see my ‘latest offers’ page to see the current offer.

Please contact me to find out more about purchasing a Thermomix.

PS. We encourage demonstrations to ensure you have a chance to ask all the questions prior to purchase, but you don’t have to have a demonstration if that is your preference. I always offer a post-sale demonstration to make sure you know how to set up and use your Thermomix and get the most out of your investment.

    Best Thermomix Blogs and Websites

Wow! I’m so honoured to let you know, I’ve just been voted one of the top 20 Best Thermomix Blogs and Websites, worldwide! The best Thermomix blogs as voted by Feedspot compile these lists from thousands of blogs on the web and ranked by traffic, social media followers, domain authority & freshness.

So don’t just take my word for it, check it out here:

    Best Thermomix Blogs and Websites

To be ranked with blogs like Quirky Cooking (Jo Whitton), Skinnymixers (Nikalene Riddle), Thermobliss (Lauren and Lucy), Thermojo (Jo Reardon) and The Annoyed Thyroid (Sam) is mindboggling. I follow many of these wonderful ladies myself,  so ranking with and above many of them has blown me away.

The fact that all of these blogs are in Australia where Thermomix is more widely known and accepted by consumers means that my little blog in the UK is the only one in the UK or Europe on the list.

I’m also the only non-caucasian on the list. That is huge for me. There aren’t enough women of colour or from the Indian sub-continent, or Asian continent, who are Thermomix Ambassadors and Influencers. I mean, just the population of Indians in India alone is approximately 1.5 billion (2022) and if we take the Indian diasporas living outside the country, that’s another 32 million; 18.68 million are persons of Indian origin, whereas 13.45 million are non-resident Indians.

We could all do more to change the awareness of Thermomix in our own cultural and family backgrounds. More users from the sub-continent need to get on board with Thermomix. Our Indian cuisine consists of a variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to India. We can use the Thermomix to heat the spices, blend the spices, makes the sauces for curries and chutneys, to knead the dough for chappatis, rotis to naans.

But the unique thing about me is that I am also a mix of my origin and my current environment.

Whilst I always joke,  a household is run how the ‘woman’ was brought up – read in my case, Indian – I married a British-born-Polish man, and have two racially mixed children, who are truly British. I bought my Thermomix when my daughter was just 4 months old, so as a new parent about to wean her first baby, the Thermomix helped me. As a parent, with a full-time job and two young kids, my Thermomix was a lifesaver saving time in the kitchen, yet creating delicious, healthy meals for myself and my family. Now that my kids are older, they have a love for cooking and have an incredible palate because of the variety of food we cooked. I do one meal for everyone; none of this one meal for adults and another for children; not in my household.  If you ask them what their favourite foods are one will say Mexican fajitas and the other will say sous-vide steak and fries. My death role meal would probably be a Japanese bento, whereas my husband when questioned would say Thai Tom Yum Gai.

I’m also a housewife. A mother. Someone who has weaned her kids using Thermomix. A full-time career woman, who needs to feed her family when I come home from work. A foodie, who loves fine dining. A home cook who loves her Thermomix.

So ‘My Story’, it’s a unique one and one that I gladly share with you all.

My name is Ankita Stopa and I am passionate about helping people cook more healthy and creative food. Life is busy enough and anything that can help us save time and money is something we all need in our lives.

I’m from India, which is one of the oldest and richest food cultures in the world. Indian cuisine is well known for being one of the world’s spiciest, influential, diverse and unique. I work so hard to provide honest independent reviews on Thermomix, my experience as an Advisor and Team Leader, as well as recipe conversions to keep it relevant and useful to new customers looking to buy a Thermomix, as well as owners and users for inspiration that I’m so pleased that the blog and website is well received.

And thank you to Anuj and her team for including me. If this has inspired anyone to learn more about Thermomix, and would like to see a demonstration, in person or virtually, drop me a line.

Save Money with Thermomix: Raspberry Jam

Save money with Thermomix. It’s what we as owners and users say all the time. But finally, I’m able to share some of the cost savings with specific recipes like this raspberry jam recipe which is one of our household staples but also one that is a wow, demonstration recipe.

Why is it a wow recipe? Raspberry jam is so quick and delicious! I prefer to reduce the sugar: 350 g frozen raspberries + 250 g jam sugar. If you want it less set, only cook for 20 minutes. Great topping for your plain yogurt.

But we’re here to talk about cost savings, so I’ve done a quick search for some tomato soups in an online supermarket. I’ve chosen Ocado today, but I will be comparing all of them in this series of articles to be fair.

    Ingredients

    • 250 g frozen raspberries
    • 250 g jam sugar, £2.35
    • 20 g lemon juice

    Preparation

    1. Place raspberries, jam sugar, and lemon juice in mixing bowl then, with the simmering basket in place of measuring cup, cook 25 min/105°C/speed 1. Meanwhile, prepare jam jars (see tip).
    2. Test setting point of jam (see tip). Transfer to warm glass jars with screw-top lids (see tip), leaving approx. 5 mm gap at the top. Make sure that rims of jars are clean and close immediately. Label before storing in a cool, dry place. Once opened, store in fridge.

    Hints & Tips

    • Preserves are really easy to make in the Thermomix®, and save you standing over a stove stirring for hours. Use this recipe in the butterfly cakes recipe. Also delicious served with croissants.
    • To prepare jars, place 500 g water in mixing bowl. Place jars and lids upside down in the centre of the Varoma and steam 20 min/Varoma/speed 1. Leave to drain – do not dry or touch the inside surfaces. Alternatively, thoroughly wash jars and lids in hot, soapy water. Rinse by pouring over boiling water. Prepare for filling, if needed, by placing on a clean tea towel in a roasting tin and heating in the oven at 100˚C until required. Always pour hot jam into still warm jars.
    • Setting point test: place a saucer in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. Place 1 tsp jam onto cold saucer. When cool, push jam with your finger. If it wrinkles, it is ready. If not, boil jam for a further 2 min/105°C/speed 3, then test again.
    • To make twice as much jam, double the ingredients and cook for the same time, 25 min/105°C/speed 1.

    • 800 g parsnips, peeled, quartered lengthways
    • 4 garlic cloves
    • 100 g runny honey

    Preparation

    1. Place Parmesan, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper in mixing bowl then grate 10 sec/speed 10.
    2. Add polenta and mix 10 sec/reverse/speed 4. Transfer to a large bowl and set aside.
    3. Place oil and butter in a roasting tin and set aside.
    4. Place water in mixing bowl. Place Varoma dish into position then weigh in parsnips. Remove Varoma and divide parsnips between simmering basket, Varoma dish and Varoma tray (see tip), ensuring some holes remain uncovered for steam to circulate. Insert simmering basket then insert Varoma tray. Place covered Varoma into position then steam 15-18 min/Varoma/speed 1 until just tender. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 190°C then place prepared tin inside to preheat.
    5. Remove Varoma dish and remove simmering basket with aid of spatula then immediately transfer parsnips to bowl with Parmesan mixture and toss to coat.
    6. Remove roasting tin from oven and carefully place parsnips in hot oil. Mix well to coat then roast for 15-20 minutes (190°C) until lightly golden and crisp. Meanwhile, discard steaming water, dry mixing bowl and continue with recipe.
    7. Place garlic in mixing bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 5. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula then chop again 2 sec/speed 5. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.
    8. Add honey and mix 10 sec/speed 6. Once parsnips are roasted, pour over garlic honey, toss to coat and bake for a further 3-5 minutes (190°C) until golden. Serve hot.

    Hints & Tips

    • Roasted parsnips are always a favourite at the Christmas table, and we’ve added a twist to make this popular dish even better. The herby Parmesan and polenta coating makes them extra crunchy, and the honey dressing helps the natural sweetness of the vegetable shine through.
    • When distributing parsnips, place larger pieces in simmering basket and smaller pieces in Varoma tray to ensure even cooking.
    • If desired, the garlic honey glaze can be omitted. Simply stop the recipe at the end of step 6 and serve crispy Parmesan parsnips as they are.
