Cream scones

Quick and Easy Cream Scones

I’m delighted to have my friend and fellow Thermomix owner, Kerry join me as a guest blogger. Here’s her family recipe for cream scones.

I grew up in the bush in Australia and I learnt to bake at a very young age. My grandmother and my Mum would make amazing scones when I was younger, and I remember many local show days and CWA cookery events where scones very similar to the ones below were served with home made jam and freshly whipped cream. I loved them so much (and I still do!) that I’ve adapted and tweaked their original Australian recipe for my TM5.

These scones are super quick and easy and can be ready in just over 15 minutes if you need a quick morning or afternoon tea treat when visitors pop by unexpectedly! They’re beautifully fluffy and they work every time!

Basil pesto

Pesto

This easy, beautiful pesto recipe is absolutely bursting with fresh herby flavour. … You can whizz up your own delicious pesto in under 5 minutes – it’s great for a fast-fix meal.  Homemade pesto is tastier than any shop bought version and this recipe shows how easy it is to make.

I use it on it’s own with pasta (always a winner in my home), spread it on a warm, crusty roll or smother it on salmon and steam with rice in the Thermomix; whatever you do with it, it’s a winner and a staple in my kitchen fridge.

And if you want ideas on how to eat pesto, check out this article I found online.
